March 3, 2005 - Entries for slogan contest sought

The Community Progress Initiative's tourism cluster will present a $250 Heart of Wisconsin gift certificate to the person who develops the winning slogan in a contest to promote tourism.

The slogan needs to incorporate a cranberry symbol and relate to the unique and positive qualities of South Wood County. Some of the qualities include the area's reputation as the largest inland cranberry production area in the world, expansive hiking and biking trails, and the Wisconsin River.

Slogans can be submitted by e-mail to slogancontest@wctc.com or by mail to the Heart of Wisconsin Business & Economic Alliance, 1120 Lincoln St., Wisconsin Rapids WI 54494.

All slogan entries need to be postmarked or e-mailed by March 22. The winning slogan will be publicly announced April 1. For more information, contact Heather Wessling at 422-4856.
