May 9, 2005 - Help students clean area

By Kayla Janssen, Ninth grade Community Progress Youth Team member, for Daily Tribune
As part of the Community Progress Initiative, the Youth Team is challenging school districts of south Wood County to come together to make our community better.

On Friday, May 13, schools in south Wood County will do some sort of community cleanup work. Examples include picking up garbage around their school campus, cleaning parks or other public facilities, and even cleaning up of the riversides.

If you or your school is interested in helping and contributing to this community event, talk to your school guidance counselor or principal for more information.

Your school is a vital key to making this work. Please get involved. The date is Friday, May 13, and the rain date will be May 17.
